My client is seeking a proactive Buyer to join a fast‑paced manufacturing and supply chain environment. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services to support operational delivery, cost control, and supplier performance. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers, using ERP/MRP systems to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Your new role:

  • Raise and manage purchase orders end‑to‑end using an ERP system, ensuring accuracy, acknowledgements, and delivery alignment.
  • Maintain high-quality procurement data (lead times, MOQs, open orders) to support planning, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Build strong supplier relationships, managing performance, risk, cost, quality, delivery, and year-on-year savings.
  • Support inventory planning and purchasing strategies to balance availability and stock control.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across production, warehouse, planning, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Contribute to operational excellence through KPI tracking and supplier performance reviews.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 2+ years’ experience in procurement (direct and/or indirect).
  • Background in a manufacturing or regulated environment preferred (electronics experience advantageous).
  • Confident in using ERP/MRP systems; strong Excel and Office 365 skills essential.
  • Results‑driven, organised, resilient, and keen to develop within a growing business.
