A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme involving significant civil engineering works, large diameter pipe installation and complex reinforced concrete structures.
Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Managing engineering activities across allocated sections of the project
- Supporting delivery of large diameter pipeline installations
- Overseeing reinforced concrete structures and associated works
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications
- Producing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and inspection test plans
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
- Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
- Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes
- Working collaboratively with project teams to achieve programme milestones
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer on major infrastructure projects
- Strong background in water, utilities, heavy civil engineering or related sectors
- Experience with large diameter pipework installation
- Experience delivering reinforced concrete structures
- Proficient with setting out equipment and engineering software
- Good understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
- CSCS Card
Desirable
- Experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Temporary works awareness
- Experience managing engineering teams or site supervision responsibilities
