Your new company Hays Construction are currently representing a client who are a specialist Civil Engineering contractor operating within the Renewable Energy Sectors and Electrical Infrastructure. Based in Co. Tyrone, this firm has developed a sizeable market presence within Construction over the past decade, providing expert Civil Engineering services throughout Ireland. Your new role The successful applicant will be employed as a Site Foreperson with one of Northern Ireland's leading civil engineering contractors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys stepping into fast‑moving civils projects and making an immediate impact. The position offers an immediate start on a key Derry civils and utilities scheme and the chance to gain exposure to high‑voltage and grid‑stabilisation infrastructure. You'll be joining a supportive team environment with clear site structures. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors, supporting programme delivery to ensure works run to schedule, and maintaining strong communication with clients and project teams. You will also play a key part in ensuring that safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met across the site.

What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will bring a technical background along with experience in overseeing delivery of civils, utilities, or groundwork packages as site no. 1. Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead on‑site activities are essential, as is a proactive, can‑do approach and excellent communication skills. Furthermore, you must hold a valid CSR (Site Supervisor), CSCS or SMSTS certification.
