Your new company is an established building services design consultancy with a long-standing presence in Northern Ireland, specialising in Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering. The practice delivers MEP design, BIM coordination and 3D modelling services across a wide range of projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
As part of a strategic restructure of its Derry office, the consultancy is strengthening its mechanical engineering capability and is now seeking to appoint multiple engineers at varying levels of experience.
Your new role involves recruiting several Mechanical Engineers at Junior, Intermediate and Senior level to support the refreshed structure of the Derry team. These roles will suit engineers who enjoy working across the full design life cycle, from early concept through detailed design and delivery.
- Developing mechanical engineering solutions from concept to implementation
- Contributing to design strategy and concept development for mechanical services
- Undertaking design calculations for HVAC and public health systems
- Producing design drawings, schematics, specifications, schedules and reports
- Ensuring compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations and industry best practice
- Designing energy-efficient and low-carbon building services systems
- Coordinating with electrical, architectural and structural disciplines
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree or Master's in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience ranging from graduate/junior level through to senior engineer, ideally gained within an MEP consultancy environment
- Exposure to a range of building services projects
- Sound knowledge of UK standards and building regulations
- Experience with Revit and IES is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to design
