A well-established and growing insurer is looking to strengthen its underwriting capability within their Liability team. The business has a strong reputation for technical expertise, collaboration, and career development, and offers a structured environment with clear progression opportunities.

You will join the Liability underwriting team, working within a well-resourced and experienced function. The role will involve underwriting a diverse portfolio of liability risks, supporting and developing broker relationships, and contributing to the profitable growth of the account. This position is well suited to an underwriter who has completed their entry-level training and is now ready to take the next step in their underwriting career.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will have experience working within the insurance market (within an MGA, Composite or Broker) alongside exposure to liability underwriting, or alternatively, come from a broker background with strong liability experience.
  • You would already have experience in writing UK Casualty or Liability risks and would have dealt with complex UK risks – being both renewal and new business.
  • Ideally, you will have completed the Cert CII or an equivalent entry-level professional qualification.
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • You will also have a proactive approach to your work and a genuine interest in developing your technical underwriting expertise.
