Hays are delighted to be supporting a leading engineering and healthcare infrastructure organisation in the recruitment of a Technical Sales / Bid Support Engineer to join their growing team based in Chesterfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional with strong BIM and Revit expertise to play a key role in the production of complex bids, technical quotations, designs and tender submissions. The successful candidate will combine technical engineering knowledge with commercial awareness to support the delivery of bespoke solutions for customers across highly regulated environments.
Candidates with experience within the medical gas sector, healthcare engineering, building services, M&E, HVAC, cleanroom environments or other technically regulated industries are particularly encouraged to apply. The RoleReporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the full bid and quotation process, transforming technical specifications and customer requirements into accurate designs, costings and tender submissions.
Key responsibilities include: Reviewing tender documentation, specifications and technical drawings. Producing detailed quotations and estimates within agreed deadlines. Designing systems and developing technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Using Revit and BIM software to create schematic, isometric and layout drawings. Producing technical tender packages and supporting documentation. Compiling bills of materials and equipment schedules. Providing technical support and guidance on product selection and design best practice. Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Liaising with internal stakeholders to support project delivery and successful bid submissions. Maintaining accurate records of quotations, revisions, lead times and project activity. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess: Previous experience within a technical sales support, bid support, estimating or proposals environment. Advanced Revit and BIM experience. Strong AutoCAD capability. Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Good commercial awareness and the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines. Desirable Experience Experience within the medical gas industry. Knowledge of healthcare engineering environments. Mechanical engineering background. Experience producing technical tenders, bids or proposals.
