I am currently working with a highly respected independent accountancy firm that is investing in long-term succession planning within its corporate tax function. They are looking for an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager looking for more than just a compliance position, someone who wants to influence, take ownership of large transactions and advisory projects and a clear route to senior leadership.

This is a newly created position to work and learn directly with the corporate tax partner, share responsibility for complex advisory work, build a strong relationship with an established client base and show how the corporate tax services are delivered. You won’t be maintaining a function, you will be helping to shape and grow it.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the partner on high-value advisory projects and transaction work including:

  • Group restructures and reorganisations
  • International tax matters
  • Acquisitions and disposals
  • Group tax relief, capital allowances
  • Strategic planning for growing corporations

Additionally, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to existing clients
  • Develop your own advisory portfolio
  • Enhance audit/tax collaboration
  • Support in upskilling and coaching team members as the team expands

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within corporate tax
  • ATT or CTA qualified
  • Experience with corporate tax advisory and complex compliance work
  • Confident with group structures, transactions and international tax
  • Comfortable building client relationships
  • Able to communicate complex tax issues clearly

Benefits:

  • Work for a leading independent firm
  • Clear pathway to partner
  • Hybrid working
  • Work on large and complex tax projects
  • Award-winning team culture

This is a great opportunity to gain the complexity and challenge of a larger firm, combined with the culture, autonomy and progression of an independent practice.
