A leading global insurance and reinsurance broker is seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join its North American Direct & Facultative Property team in London. This is a senior, client-facing role working on complex open market property risks, offering exposure to high-value international business and a collaborative, technically strong environment.
You will be responsible for the placement and ongoing servicing of North American open market property risks, managing the full risk lifecycle from underwriting submissions through to policy documentation and endorsements. Acting as a key point of contact, you will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and market representatives, providing clear technical guidance and resolving queries efficiently.
You will ensure accounts are serviced to a high professional standard by producing MRC slips, invoices and related documentation, maintaining accurate electronic files and completing all required compliance and regulatory checks. Working closely with brokers, you will support business development activity and assist in the structuring of complex programmes and innovative risk transfer solutions. You will operate within a paperless environment, managing workflow, budgets and financial reporting requirements while maintaining strong regulatory awareness, including FCA, Contract Certainty and international standards. Where appropriate, you will support the development of junior team members, encourage collaboration across teams and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in a senior Account Executive or similar position within the London insurance market, with strong technical expertise in North American open market property business. You will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while working to tight deadlines. You will be a confident, client-focused communicator with strong interpersonal and written skills, capable of influencing and building credibility at all levels. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, combined with strong IT skills and a collaborative approach, will be essential to succeeding in this role.
