We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Biller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in legal billing, time entry, audits and the management of complex billing arrangements. You will oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring invoices are produced accurately and on schedule, while supporting both internal teams and clients with billing queries and issues. Experience with E-Billing and Aderant will be an advantage. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be based three days per week in the firm’s modern, recently refurbished City of London office.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation and review of client invoices, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, rates, disbursements and compliance with client billing guidelines and fee arrangements.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for client billing enquiries, adjustments and disputes, providing clear explanations and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Mentoring junior billing staff, assisting with onboarding and training new team members and sharing best practices to drive efficiency. Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • At least five years of legal billing experience, ideally within a law firm environment.
  • Proficiency in billing software such as Aderant is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of legal billing processes, industry standards and client-specific requirements. Experience with AFAs, fixed fees and other non-hourly billing structures is highly valued.
