Overview
In this role you will support the Group Controllership function by delivering consolidated financial statements, statutory accounts, and external reporting for a multi-entity group. You will manage external audits, support technical accounting matters, and drive improvements in controls and processes. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and global finance teams in a large, international environment. You will contribute to governance and reporting consistency across jurisdictions, shaping the group’s financial reporting framework.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts for UK entities
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
- Manage external audit processes and act as main contact for interim and year-end audits
- Prepare covenant compliance and banking reports
- Support technical accounting matters across the finance function
- Drive process improvement initiatives and controls enhancements
- Collaborate with international finance teams to improve reporting consistency and governance
- Potential line management responsibility
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
- 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including UK GAAP (FRS102) and IFRS
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements
- Experience in a multi-entity, group reporting or controllership role
- Experience managing external audits and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
