Your new company Hays Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher on a permanent basis. This rewarding opportunity would suit a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum using a semiformal approach where appropriate, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of learners and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Use semiformal teaching approaches to support individual learning needs
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals
- Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- A background in Primary or Early Years education would be advantageous
- Strong planning and differentiation skills
- A nurturing and child-centred approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
