We are searching for a talented Political Violence and Terrorism (PV&T) Reinsurance Broker to take a pivotal role at the very heart of London’s insurance market. This is an opportunity to work within a growing PV&T team where you’ll work as an all-encompassing broker. About the Role:You’ll be entrusted with designing, negotiating, and placing bespoke PV&T solutions for retail offices, cedants, and corporate clients spanning Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Your expertise will drive the structuring and placement of both facultative and treaty risks in the Lloyd’s and wider London markets, ensuring our clients’ portfolios receive the very best protection against evolving threats.Key Responsibilities:- Structure and place complex political violence and terrorism risks (fac and treaty) within the Lloyd's and London market- Manage the end-to-end life cycle of a diverse wholesale and retail account portfolio, handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business- Draft high-quality technical documentation, including MRCS, slips, endorsements, and underwriter presentations- Build and nurture strong relationships with specialised London underwriters, managing agents, and international capacity providers- Serve as a key contact for regional insurers in Africa and Asia, advising on capacity and risk-transfer solutions- Monitor geopolitical trends and local exposures to keep clients ahead of emerging hazardsWhat We’re Looking For:- 5+ years’ experience in insurance/reinsurance broking or underwriting, ideally with direct exposure to Political Violence, Terrorism, or related speciality lines (Property/Energy)- Robust technical knowledge of Lloyd’s market processes, accounting, and electronic placing platforms- Familiarity with African, Middle Eastern, or Asian insurance markets, including local compliance and cultural nuances- Demonstrable negotiation skills and a proven ability to build rapport with senior underwriters- Progress towards, or completion of, ACII or Cert II is highly advantageous.- You must already reside in the UK with a full right to workWhat’s on Offer:- Competitive salary (circa 60k, negotiable for the right candidate)- City of London location, right in the heart of the Insurance District- Flexible hybrid working pattern and a supportive, professional environmentIf you’re ready to make an impact in a truly international team and play your part in some of the most challenging and rewarding placements in the London market, then we’d love to hear from you.
