Overview
In this role you will defend professional indemnity claims for insurers and their insureds, focusing on solicitors, accountants and other financial professionals. You will have significant responsibility with direct client exposure, helping grow a national financial lines practice. You will work on complex, high-value claims, coverage disputes and regulatory matters. The opportunity emphasizes client relationship development and contributing to the firm’s market growth.
Responsibilities
- Defend professional indemnity claims for insurers and insureds
- Handle coverage disputes and regulatory matters in PI/insurance contexts
- Manage high-value, complex claims with direct client exposure
- Develop and maintain client relationships to grow the practice
- Contribute to strategic growth and market reputation of the financial lines team
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience in professional indemnity/insurance law
- Proven track record defending PI claims for insurers and/or insureds
- Experience with solicitors, accountants and other financial professionals
- Strong client-facing, advisory, and advocacy skills
- Client relationship management
