Overview
As a Planning Lawyer at a leading City practice, you will advise on both contentious and non-contentious planning matters for private and public sector clients. You’ll handle complex planning applications, Section 106/278 agreements, and CPO work, alongside enforcement and public enquiry matters. You’ll also perform planning due diligence on corporate transactions and advise on major development schemes across waste, affordable housing, and private developer sectors. This role offers exposure to high-profile planning projects in a collaborative firm environment. You will contribute to shaping development strategies and regulatory responses across diverse client groups.
Responsibilities
- Advise on contentious and non-contentious planning matters for private and public sector clients
- Lead complex planning applications and Section106/278 agreements
- Handle CPO work and enforcement issues
- Engage in public enquiry work and planning-related disputes
- Conduct planning due diligence on corporate transactions
- Provide general advice on major development schemes in waste, affordable housing, and private developer sectors
