Overview

In this role you will own UK payroll operations for a global organisation, ensuring compliant and timely processing while shaping benefits and reward strategies. You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, support executives, and drive improvements in payroll and reward programs. The position offers broad ownership across payroll, benefits, and reward, with exposure to key stakeholders and opportunities to influence decision-making. You will help translate complex data into clear, engaging communications and cost-conscious plans that support business growth and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end UK payroll operations for a diverse workforce
  • Oversee complex payroll arrangements (split contracts, international assignees, mobile employees)
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
  • Handle payroll reporting and year-end activities (FPS, P60, P11D, PAYE/NI reconciliations)
  • Liaise with payroll providers and internal stakeholders for accurate processing
  • Analyze benefits utilization, costs and market trends to guide strategy
  • Develop employee communication materials to explain benefits
  • Manage relationships with benefits brokers, insurers and providers
  • Conduct CEO pay ratio analysis and executive remuneration modelling
  • Deliver reward and benefits cost modelling to support planning
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytical support to senior leaders

Key requirements

  • Experience as UK Payroll, Benefits & Reward Manager or equivalent role
  • Management of end-to-end UK payroll operations
  • Experience with complex payroll scenarios and international assignments
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC compliance
  • Payroll reporting and year-end activities experience
