Your New Role

Are you a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Joiner/Carpenter based in Swindon or the surrounding area, looking to make a real impact? Our client is seeking two dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance services, supporting their mission to provide safe and well-maintained homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality joinery works to professional standards
  • Carry out secondary trade tasks (multi-skilled), such as basic plumbing, plastering, and repairs, to support first-time fix targets (KPIs)
  • Provide excellent customer service and contribute to overall operational performance
  • Accurately record and report all work in line with company and legislative requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow strict Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintain the company vehicle to required standards
  • Manage van stock efficiently to ensure materials availability
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are safe, maintained, and compliant
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately.

Location & Working Hours

This is a mobile role covering Swindon and surrounding areas. Candidates must live within 20 miles of Swindon.

Full-time hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Salary: £38,090 per annum

On-call rota: 1 in 4 (£525 per week when on call)

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) in Carpentry/Joinery
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in carpentry/joinery
  • Proven experience in additional trades (multi-skilled)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to complete repairs efficiently to achieve first-time fix
  • Ability to work independently with good organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks safely
  • Awareness of environmental risks and safe working practices

Successful candidates will be subject to full referencing and a Basic DBS check.
