We are seeking an experienced Risk Change Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month contract. This role sits within a dynamic risk and change function, supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives and enhancements to risk management frameworks. This would suit a consultant used to working at early stages of a programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and testing of business requirements for technology and change initiatives
- Assist in the production of change management artefacts, project documentation, and programme reporting
- Contribute to the definition and enhancement of risk methodologies, including impact analysis and regulatory approval support
- Support the development of target operating models, including risk frameworks, vision, and strategy
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Participate fully in audits, investigations, and reporting requirements
- Continuously develop professional knowledge and capabilities within risk and change disciplines
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience in risk management within a financial institution, ideally with exposure to:
- Commodity or OTC derivative markets (ideal)
- Risk margin methodologies (e.g. SPAN, VaR)
- Solid understanding of core risk management principles, including:
- Back testing
- Stress testing
- Product valuation
- Proven experience delivering change in a risk environment, including:
- Requirements gathering and documentation
- Testing support (UAT, system testing)
- Good knowledge of project delivery and change frameworks, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Desirable Qualifications
- Professional risk certifications (or working towards), such as CFA or FRM
- Change management/project certifications (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
