A global, fast-paced organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Tax Manager to support its international operations during a period of strategic growth and transformation. You will join a high-performing tax function that plays a critical role in shaping cross-border tax strategy, driving process improvements, and ensuring robust governance across multiple jurisdictions. As Interim Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality international tax advice and ensuring effective oversight of global tax processes. Your role will include:

  • Providing strategic tax advisory support on business decisions, client proposals and cross-border structuring
  • Assessing and mitigating tax risks, including PE, WHT and VAT considerations
  • Leading and supporting international projects, including M&A activity, internal reorganisations, country start-ups and legal entity rationalisation
  • Managing due diligence, step plans, documentation of tax consequences and integration actions
  • Monitoring developments in international tax law, including Pillar 2
  • Overseeing local compliance processes delivered by in-country finance teams or outsourced providers
  • Managing WHT requirements and supporting uncertain tax position assessments for financial reporting
  • Supporting tax audit management where required
  • Driving process improvement and standardisation, enhancing data quality and consistency
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors across multiple locations
  • Providing project management leadership, ensuring risks are identified, deadlines met and progress communicated effectively.

You will bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness and leadership capability, including:

  • Full professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA
  • Significant experience in international tax, including advisory work and process improvement
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to evaluate and mitigate tax risks
  • Knowledge of GST/VAT on services and goods (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to articulate complex tax issues confidently
  • Experience working in multi-cultural, multi-location environments
  • A proactive, collaborative and innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated agility, resilience and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven project management experience, particularly in complex tax-driven initiatives
