We are seeking an experienced Hybrid Cloud & Integration Solution Architect to join a major transformation programme within the Energy & Utilities sector. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining end-to-end solution architectures across cloud platforms, SaaS/COTS applications, enterprise integrations, and modern data platforms. This is a highly visible architecture role requiring strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to govern complex technical environments while ensuring alignment to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end solution architectures across complex enterprise environments.
- Define architecture roadmaps supporting business transformation initiatives.
- Lead solution design across cloud, SaaS, COTS, integration, and data platform domains.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, delivery leads, engineers, and third-party suppliers.
- Provide technical governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess technology options and provide recommendations based on business, operational, security, and commercial requirements.
- Drive architecture reviews and support design authority processes.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, and operational readiness are incorporated into solution designs.
- Support Agile delivery teams through implementation and deployment phases.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong track record delivering complex business and technology transformation programmes.
- Ability to communicate architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong cloud architecture experience across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
- Experience delivering solutions involving SaaS and COTS platforms.
- Understanding of enterprise-scale application landscapes and modern architecture principles.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Data Lakes, Data Fabric Architectures, Databricks, ETL / ELT Frameworks, Modern data integration and transformation solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience designing integrations between cloud services, SaaS platforms, legacy applications, and data platforms.
- Knowledge of API-led architecture and event-driven design principles.
- Ability to engage with senior business stakeholders, programme leadership, engineering teams, and third-party suppliers.
- Experience influencing technical decisions within complex organisations.
- Experience working within architecture review boards and governance frameworks.
- Ability to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and strategic objectives.
