The school places high value on creative subjects and sees music as a vital part of personal development, confidence-building and community life. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with strong links between academic departments, learning support teams and co-curricular provision.

As a Music Teacher, you will deliver high-quality music education across the school in a part-time role (3 days per week). You will assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback and support students in achieving their full potential in music.

A key part of the role will involve contributing to the wider musical life of the school, including supporting ensembles, concerts, productions, services and whole-school events such as prize giving. You will work collaboratively with visiting peripatetic music teachers, helping to coordinate provision and communicate effectively with families where appropriate. You will inspire pupils to participate in music-making both within and beyond the classroom, encouraging performance, creativity and personal development. The role includes supporting concerts, services and performances throughout the academic year, as well as contributing to the pastoral life of the school through Form Tutor responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic music educator who is passionate about delivering engaging and accessible music education within a supportive specialist setting. In addition, you will contribute to the pastoral life of the school as a Form Tutor and play an active role in duties, PSHE delivery and the wider school community. This is a varied teaching position combining classroom music instruction, performance support and pastoral responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' musical development and enjoyment of music.
