Your new company A well-established Housing Association operating across North Wales is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join their property services team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a reputable social housing provider, helping to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards. Your new role As a Fire Door Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of fire door installation, maintenance, repairs and remedial works across occupied and void residential properties.
Duties will include: Installation of new fire doors and frames Fire door upgrades and remedial works Fire stopping and associated carpentry works Inspection, maintenance and repair of existing fire doors Replacing ironmongery including hinges, closers, locks and seals Ensuring all work complies with current fire safety regulations and standards Accurate completion of job sheets and compliance documentation Delivering excellent customer service while working within occupied homes What you'll need to succeed NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent) Previous experience installing and maintaining fire doors within social housing, public sector or commercial environments Knowledge of BM Trada, FIRAS or fire door compliance standards Full UK Driving Licence Strong understanding of health and safety procedures Ability to work independently across multiple sites What you'll get in return Initial 6-month contract with potential extension Company van provided Fuel card provided Full-time hours, Monday to Friday Consistent workload across North Wales Weekly pay through Hays Current market rates for experienced Fire Door Joiners within social housing are typically: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour PAYE/Umbrella depending on experience and certifications Equivalent salary approximately £38,000 - £45,000 per annum What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
