Our client, one of the UK's biggest Facilities Management and professional services companies, is looking after a large, diverse, blue-chip customer base, from banks and retailers to hospitals, schools, and government offices.

Your new role

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance. Acting as a key link between finance and operations, you will work closely with contract managers, operational teams, and business development to support growth, improve profitability, and optimise financial performance. You will take ownership of providing insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial governance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational and business development teams to drive revenue growth and maximise contract profitability
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts in collaboration with shared services
  • Provide clear financial insight into business performance, including variance analysis and KPI reporting
  • Analyse contract performance, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Support the sales pipeline through financial appraisal, business cases, and bid support
  • Drive improvements in working capital, billing processes, and financial efficiency
  • Challenge existing business practices and implement process improvements
  • Present complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CIPFA)
  • Proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix environment
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly
  • A proactive, driven approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines
