Due to growth within their Property & Casualty team, a position for a Senior Underwriter has arisen.
Your new role As a Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting complex new business and renewal risks across commercial combined, property and casualty lines.
You will take ownership of portfolio performance, analysing trends, monitoring loss ratios and taking corrective action where required to maintain underwriting discipline.
In addition, you will contribute to underwriting strategy, product development and the continuous improvement of underwriting processes, with the opportunity to progress into a leadership role as the business grows.
What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced commercial P&C underwriter with a strong trading mentality and a desire for autonomy.
You will typically have significant experience underwriting commercial Property and Casualty risks, gained within an MGA or composite insurer environment.
A strong technical understanding of commercial property, liability and commercial combined products is essential, alongside excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills.
