This organisation is a highly regarded international advisory business with a strong reputation for supporting major clients through complex commercial, reputational and strategic matters. Operating across global markets, the business works with senior stakeholders, boards and client teams on high-profile mandates where quality, discretion and commercial judgement are essential.
Due to continued growth and increasingly complex client requirements, the business is looking to appoint its first dedicated Commercial Contracts Manager. This is a newly created role designed to bring structure, consistency and commercial rigour to client contracts, procurement processes, bids and wider commercial governance.
This is a hands-on and highly visible position, working closely with client teams, senior stakeholders and internal business functions. The role will focus on reviewing, negotiating and managing client contracts, ensuring the business is legally and commercially protected while still enabling strong client relationships and effective delivery.
You will take ownership of client contract activity from end to end, including contract review, negotiation, execution, renewals and governance. A key part of the role will be advising internal stakeholders on contractual risk, commercial terms and negotiation strategy, ensuring that agreements are fit for purpose and aligned with business priorities.
Alongside contract management, you will support responses to client procurement processes, tenders, RFPs and RFIs, helping teams navigate increasingly detailed requirements. This will include managing documentation, compliance requirements and standard responses, while improving the overall approach to bids and client onboarding.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing, negotiating and managing client contracts and commercial terms
- Leading on contract negotiations to protect the business from legal, commercial and operational risk
- Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk exposure and commercial implications
- Supporting client procurement processes, tenders, RFPs and bid submissions
- Helping to build consistent processes, templates, playbooks and governance frameworks
- Managing contract renewals, approvals and key commercial milestones
- Supporting supplier and subscription contract activity where required
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure contracts are commercially sound and legally robust
To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience in commercial contracts management, legal, paralegal or a similar contract-focused position. You will be confident reviewing and negotiating commercial terms, with the judgement to balance risk, compliance and business needs.
You will need a strong legal and commercial mindset, particularly when it comes to protecting the business during client negotiations. This role would suit someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and confident working with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced professional services or client-led environment.
You are likely to demonstrate:
- Experience reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial or client contracts
- A strong understanding of contractual risk, governance and compliance
- Confidence supporting bids, tenders, RFPs or client procurement processes
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to challenge commercial terms constructively
- The ability to advise senior stakeholders clearly and commercially
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to balancing legal protection with business needs
- Experience in legal, paralegal, commercial contracts or professional services environments would be highly beneficial.
You will be joining a growing international business in a newly created role with real visibility and influence. This is an opportunity to shape how commercial contracts, client procurement processes and contract governance are managed across the business.
The role offers genuine scope to make an impact, build processes from the ground up and work closely with senior stakeholders on high-value client activity. As the function develops, there is also the potential to support more complex and international contract work.
You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including private medical insurance, pension scheme, life assurance, generous annual leave, training and development opportunities, employee wellbeing support, social events and hybrid working.
