In this Finance Director role, you will lead a broad portfolio spanning finance, procurement, commercial, risk, estates, IT, and cyber security, overseeing a team and reporting to the Board. You will shape financial strategy, ensure robust financial management, and promote governance and value for money. You will also guide digital delivery and cyber risk as enterprise priorities, driving transformation and performance. Responsibilities
- Lead finance, procurement, commercial, risk, estates, IT and cyber security functions
- Set and deliver the organisation's financial strategy and governance framework
- Oversee budget setting, financial planning, reporting and audit
- Provide executive oversight of digital, technology delivery and cyber security
- Lead transformation, continuous improvement and organisational capability
- Manage a team of ~50 with 6 direct reports and engage with Board and senior stakeholders
- Act as trusted advisor to Board and committees on financial, commercial and risk matters
- Drive value for money and ensure robust financial management across operations
Key requirements
- Board or executive-level finance leadership experience
- CCAB (or equivalent) accountancy qualification
- Postgraduate-level expertise
- Experience in strategic planning and large-scale, multi-functional operations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and senior relationship-building abilities
- Clear, confident communicator with ability to translate complex issues into actionable insights
