The firm works with a varied client base and is known for providing high-quality, commercially focused advice.This is an opportunity to join a people-focused practice with a collaborative culture and clear plans for continued growth.Your new roleYou will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of statutory accounts, tax compliance and wider business advisory work.Alongside managing client relationships, you will lead and develop a team, allocating work effectively and providing regular coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.Your responsibilities will include:Managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clientsReviewing statutory accounts and other financial reportsOverseeing client deadlines, workflow and resource allocationManaging WIP, budgets and billing across your portfolioAttending client meetings to present results, KPIs and commercial adviceIdentifying opportunities to introduce clients to additional servicesSupporting, coaching and developing junior members of the teamContributing to departmental improvements and wider firm initiativesThe position combines technical oversight, team leadership, client management and commercial responsibility.What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least two years’ experience operating at Manager level within the business services or accounts division of an accountancy firm.It would be advantageous to also have: Strong experience managing a portfolio of clientsThe ability to review statutory accounts and compliance workPrevious responsibility for WIP, billing and workflow managementConfident client-facing and relationship-building skillsExperience coaching and mentoring junior team membersGood commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunitiesA proactive, personable and collaborative approachWhat you'll get in returnYou will join an ambitious and evolving firm where you can make a genuine contribution to the development of your team, department and wider business.The firm offers a broad benefits package covering health and wellbeing, professional development, finances and lifestyle, including an additional day off for your birthday and access to an internal mentoring scheme.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
