My client is seeking a capable and commercially minded Management Accountant to take full ownership of the management accounts for a defined portfolio. This role is suited to someone who is confident in delivering end-to-end monthly management accounts to tight deadlines, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can quickly build credibility with stakeholders.

  • Take full ownership of the monthly management accounts for your portfolio, ensuring all journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Deliver clear variance analysis and written commentary, investigating movements against budget and forecast and providing meaningful insight.
  • Own and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders, acting as a finance business partner to your portfolio.
  • Take initiative to streamline and improve processes within the management accounts function.
  • Remain hands-on and adaptable, supporting ad-hoc work, particularly during periods of change or acquisition integration.
  • Contribute to the annual audit process, preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Support the effective use and ongoing development of the organisation’s planning and reporting tools.

Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), actively studying towards qualifications, and a finalist would be a plus. Proven experience in a management accountant role or similar in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. Proactive, organised and keen to develop within a growing finance team. Experience with Sage Intacct, and/or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
