The team is committed to delivering high-quality services that directly benefit residents and the wider community.
As a Building Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and specifying day-to-day repairs
- Conducting stock condition and measured surveys
- Managing contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Advising on legislation, health & safety compliance, and cost control
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and residents
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housing maintenance within a Local Authority
- Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and legislation
- Practical surveying skills and familiarity with health & safety regulations
- Ability to manage contractors and resolve disputes
- Commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and surveying software
- Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
- Full valid Driving Licence with access to a car
- An HNC in Construction would be preferred
Additional Information:
- A flexible working schedule (Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week)
