You will lead a global technical documentation function, driving the strategy, quality, and delivery of customer-facing product information across multiple international markets. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of technical communication, digital content delivery, and documentation processes on a global scale.
Your New Role
As Global Manager – Technical Documentation, you will lead and develop a growing team of technical documentation professionals while overseeing the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technical content including owner's manuals, service documentation, spare parts catalogues, and product literature.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a global team of technical documentation specialists.
- Defining and implementing a global documentation strategy aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
- Overseeing the development, translation, and maintenance of technical publications.
- Driving the transition from traditional print-based documentation to modern digital and multi-channel delivery platforms.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering, Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, and IT teams to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
- Promoting best practices in structured authoring, content management systems, and reusable content methodologies.
- Supporting new product development and sustaining engineering projects across multiple business divisions.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Degree qualification in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in technical documentation, technical communication, or product information management.
- Previous experience leading or managing teams within a technical environment.
- Experience producing documentation for complex mechanical or electromechanical products.
- Strong knowledge of global documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proven experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), structured authoring environments (DITA/XML), and digital publishing platforms.
- Knowledge of technical illustration software, CAD-based graphics, or spare parts documentation would be advantageous.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving organisational change within international environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Fluent English language skills; additional languages would be beneficial.
