Our client, an incredibly well-established Utilities Provider who has experienced significant growth over the last 4/5 years, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced People Leader to join their business in an exciting senior capacity. Overseeing a field-based team of 15-20 FTE, with the autonomy to strategise and leave your own stamp on the team, this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client has been established for over 25 years and is a huge name in the Utilities industry. As a business, they employ well over 200 FTE, with approximately 50 FTE in the field, developing new business. Due to their sustained growth, they are now looking for someone to join the business in a leadership capacity, reporting directly to the UK Head of Sales and managing a team of 15+ FTE.
In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Owning and delivering the entire regional sales performance (ensuring performance against budget, activity, conversion KPI's, etc.)
- Scaling the team when required (initial recruitment, onboarding, training)
- Tracking individual Agent performance, using data to identify any gaps, trends, learning opportunities
- Providing incredible coaching and field support to improve individual and team performance
- Creating a fun, high-performance culture, where results matter and everyone is accountable for exceeding expectations
- Setting strategy for the territory
- Implementing performance improvement plans if and when required
- Maintaining accurate reporting and forecasting, and 'managing up' to ensure communication across the business is as clear and transparent as possible
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Proven experience of leading a field-based Sales team
- Demonstrable experience of driving sales performance to ensure territory and regional targets are exceeded
- Experience of recruiting, onboarding, and training field-based Sales Executives
- Inspirational leadership style (ability to really improve and develop others)
- Ability to accurately forecast and commentate on performance to senior stakeholders
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Industry experience is not essential - the most important quality is that you have led a field-based Sales team and have the personality to really inspire and drive others!
In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client is also offering the following:
- £75,000 OTE (commission paid monthly)
- Company car or allowance (to be discussed in interview process)
- Full autonomy on work schedule (ideal mix of time = 50% working from home, 50% in the field, assisting and developing team members)
- Weekly/Fortnightly meetings at company HQ (Yorkshire) to present back to and catch up with UK Head of Sales
- Great working hours: Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 5.00pm (no late evenings or weekends!)
