Hays is working with a leading engineering contractor delivering complex civil and infrastructure schemes. They are seeking a Geotechnical / Structural Engineer with strong drainage experience to support the design, assessment, and delivery of drainage and earthworks packages on major projects.
This role will suit an engineer with a solid background in geotechnics and structural principles, combined with practical drainage design and site support experience.
- Geotechnical and structural assessment to support drainage and earthworks design
- Design and checking of surface water and foul drainage systems
- Interpretation of ground investigation data and geotechnical reports
- Input into temporary and permanent works related to drainage and substructures
- Supporting construction activities with technical advice and problem solving
Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience in geotechnical and/or structural engineering with drainage focus.
Strong understanding of UK drainage standards and specifications.
Experience interpreting GI data and ground risk.
Ability to work collaboratively across design and construction teams.
Experience on infrastructure, highways, rail, or utilities projects.
Site-based engineering experience.
