Lettings & Allocations Officer (12 month FTC)

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Lettings & Allocations Officer on a 12-month FTC on behalf of a well-established Housing Association in the Northwest.
This is a full-time, regional role where you will be required to conduct visits to customers and new tenants in their homes, so you will require a driving licence with valid business insurance in order to be considered.

Your new role

  • Providing an efficient Lettings & Allocations service including managing voids & re-let times to maximise income for the group
  • Managing the tenancy onboarding, sign-up, viewing and termination process
  • Advertising and marketing empty homes through PPP, Choice-Based Lettings and commercial advertising sites
  • Maintaining effective relationships with the in-house contracting team & other external teams to ensure voids are completed efficiently
  • Working in partnership with Housing & Tenancy Support Officers to ensure the allocation process is aimed at improving tenancy sustainment
  • Ensuring applicants are making advance rent payments, identifying any risks for affordability and working collaboratively with the Income Management & Money Advice teams
  • Raising repair work orders

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience of working within an allocations & lettings service and in partnership with local authorities
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector and understanding of regulatory requirements and legislation within lettings & allocations services
  • Aware of best practice in safeguarding adults and children
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance

  • Hourly rates up to £17.30 per hour and 45p mileage reimbursement from home minus 10 miles
