You will be joining a global civil engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most significant major infrastructure programmes, Sizewell C. Operating within a highly integrated project environment, this organisation brings together industry‑leading professionals from project controls, commercial, finance and delivery disciplines. With a strong focus on robust governance, innovation and continuous improvement, this programme offers the opportunity to work at scale, influence outcomes and build a career on a landmark project. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position based on site at Sizewell C (2/3 days per week) with remote working.

As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will work within a dedicated and dynamic cost team, supporting commercial delivery on a major infrastructure programme. This is a highly client‑facing role, ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast‑paced project environment and is eager to develop their technical capability and leadership skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting contract management activities, including drafting correspondence, payment notices, change evaluation and dispute avoidance
  • Assisting with cost management, including CBS/WBS maintenance, forecasting, accruals, earned value inputs and contractor claim assessment
  • Providing estimating and cost planning support, including measurement, value engineering and benchmarking
  • Contributing to planning, reporting and governance, including KPI reporting and commercial performance metrics
  • Supporting procurement and tendering activities from strategy through to contract award
  • Assisting with commercial risk management, including risk identification, quantification and mitigation

In order to be successful, you will bring:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent and membership of a relevant professional body
  • Proven experience utilising NEC3 and/or NEC4 form of contract within civil engineering with either a contractor or consultancy
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider project team
  • Full UK driving licence
