Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work, they are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting Administering NEC form of contract Preparing and submitting applications for payment and managing cash flow Identifying, pricing and negotiating compensation events, variations and change control Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts Preparing interim valuations and agreeing final accounts Monitoring project performance and identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes Providing commercial support and guidance to project delivery teams Managing project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where appropriate Contributing to the successful delivery of multi-sector schemes.
Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within heavy civils, working with NEC form of contract Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Experience managing subcontractors, commercial risk and project cashflow Full UK driving licence.
