Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
- Manage and organise case files, both electronic and physical.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Maintain attorney calendars and track important deadlines.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist with billing and timekeeping.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, copying, and answering phones.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools and ideally have experience in Big Hand Digital dictation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
