Your New Role As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, you will work closely with senior tax specialists to deliver high-quality advisory services to a varied client portfolio. You will be involved in a broad range of tax planning projects while supporting business development initiatives and mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of tax advisory services to a portfolio of private clients.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients where appropriate.
Assisting withplex tax planning projects, including inheritance tax planning, succession planning, capital gains tax planning, trust structuring, residence and international tax matters, Transaction-related tax advice
Managing advisory assignments and monitoring work in progress.
Assisting with proposals for new work and fee discussions.
Participating in client meetings and helping present technical advice in a clear andmercial manner.
Identifying opportunities to develop existing client relationships and win new business.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across tax and wider service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
Supporting, coaching and developing junior members of the tax team.
Attending networking and business development events to build professional relationships and raise the firm's profile.
What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A professional tax qualification such as CTA, ATT, STEP, ACA/CA or equivalent experience.
Previous experience within a private client tax advisory environment.
Strong technical knowledge across private client tax planning matters.
The ability to undertake independent technical research and interpret legislation.
Excellentmunication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
Experience using Tolley's tax research products would be advantageous.
