This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payments, regulatory or operational risk professional to join a highly regarded organisation and play a key role in maintaining a robust control environment across financial operations.Your New RoleReporting into senior leadership within Financial Operations, you will provide specialist oversight of payment regulations, payment scheme governance, operational risk and control frameworks. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will ensure regulatory obligations are understood, embedded and evidenced across the business whilst driving continuous improvement and operational resilience.Key responsibilities will include:Leading and enhancing the control framework across Financial Operations and payments activities.Monitoring payment scheme requirements and regulatory developments, ensuring ongoing compliance and effective implementation.Conducting regulatory horizon scanning and gap analysis to assess the impact of emerging requirements.Providing challenge, oversight and assurance across key operational risks and controls.Supporting operational resilience, business continuity and governance activities.Managing control testing, risk assessments, incident reporting and remediation plans.Producing high-quality reporting and management information for senior stakeholders.Building strong relationships across Finance, Risk, Compliance and Operational teams to embed best practice and regulatory standards.What You'll Need to SucceedExtensive experience within payments, financial operations, operational risk, regulatory compliance or controls environments.Strong knowledge of payment regulations, payment scheme rules and associated risk management practices.Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical controls, governance frameworks and operational processes.Experience of risk management, control testing, assurance and regulatory reporting.Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge senior colleagues where appropriate.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a regulated environment.What You'll Get in ReturnSalary of 65,000 - 75,000Annual bonusHybrid working modelGenerous pension schemeExcellent holiday allowanceOutstanding career development opportunitiesThe opportunity to join a highly respected financial services organisation during an exciting period of growth and transformationWhat You Need to Do NowIf you're interested in this opportunity and would like a confidential discussion, please contact Hays Senior Finance today.
