Your new role as a Lead Research and Design Engineer will involve delivering innovative design solutions for new concepts and the customisation of existing products. You will take concepts from initial stages through to final completion, creating 3D CAD models, modifying technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards. You will work closely with the production team to address design concerns, support sales through technical advice, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
What you'll need to succeed is 8+ years of experience as a research and design or product development engineer within a relevant sector, such as data centres or heavy engineering. A Bachelor's or Master's degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field is required. You should have a high degree of proficiency with 3D modelling software (SolidEdge preferred), excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
