A forward-thinking tech company is looking for a Lead Mobile Engineer to take ownership of its mobile app platforms, used by thousands of people every day to make smarter, greener travel choices. You\βll be joining a collaborative engineering team building high-quality, accessible apps and can work remotely in the UK.
Your new role
You will possess deep mobile expertise, specialising in either native iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin with an interest in the other as well as cross platform technologies.
As Lead Mobile Engineer, you\βll own the architecture, development, and delivery of mobile apps
used by thousands of people every day. You\βll lead a small team of mobile developers, drive technical decisions, and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless, accessible user experiences.
The Engineering team work as a cohesive unit with constant collaboration via Slack. Looking forward there is fantastic opportunity to influence the direction of future builds and technology selection.
What you\βll need to succeed
In this role you should embrace different mobile technologies, not just be Silo\βd to working in one.
We\βre looking for someone ready to jump in and lead. We require 5+ years dedicated Senior or Lead Dev experience working on native iOS or Android platforms (ideally both). You must also have strong knowledge or interest in React Native or Flutter cross platform Development tools.
We need someone who\βs worked in a medium-sized business where scale and agility were critical.
Naturally in a Lead position you\βll have a solid grasp of modern mobile architectures (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture), conducting thorough code reviews, and leading end-to-end testing and release management, including app store submissions. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a commitment to accessibility are key.
