The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

We are seeking a proactive Scheme Manager to join our social housing client in Lancaster on an ongoing, temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months, with permanent opportunities to become available. This role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week across Monday to Friday.

You will act as the key point of contact for residents, visitors and stakeholders within the Independent Living Scheme, providing a customer-focused housing management service to ensure residents are able to maintain their tenancies in a safe and secure property.

Key responsibilities:
  • Making daily welfare calls based on individual support plans, responding to any emergencies or safeguarding concerns.
  • Supporting all aspects of tenancy management including sign-ups, viewings, lettings, repairs, compliance and low level ASB.
  • Conduct regular health & safety compliance checks including fire safety and water.
  • Ensuring a positive climate for resident engagement, encouraging independence and involvement within scheme/community activities.
  • Supporting with tenancy related/benefit queries, and signposting to external services.
What you will need to succeed:
  • A background in social housing, with a good knowledge of housing and tenancy management principles, legislation and best practice, ideally working in a retirement/sheltered housing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident lone worker with the ability to work on own initiative.
