Overview
In this Finance Manager role, you will own the month-end close and financial reporting for the principal trading entity while leading a small finance team. You will support growth through acquisition, drive improvements in controls and reporting, and partner with stakeholders to enhance data quality and decision-making. You’ll oversee tax/compliance and audit activities, and contribute to M&A and finance transformation initiatives. This office-based position in Kingswinford offers exposure to senior leadership and a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end process and financial reporting for main trading entity and group holding companies
- Manage and develop a team covering accounts payable, payroll, banking and finance administration
- Support acquisition process including financial integration and balance sheet reviews
- Oversee VAT, corporation tax and PAYE compliance with external advisors
- Manage year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
- Drive improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting
- Develop meaningful KPIs and management information for operational decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality and finance processes
Key requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong month-end and operational finance experience in a growing/complex business
- Technically sound with knowledge of tax, VAT, statutory accounts, consolidation and cash flow
- High accuracy, attention to detail and analytical capability
- Proactive, hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing and developing finance staff
- Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems
