Overview

As Senior Export Account Manager, you’ll own key UK and European accounts within a manufacturing group and drive both commercial growth and operational excellence. You collaborate across production, technical and operations teams to ensure excellent service and timely delivery. You’ll shape our export strategy by managing relationships, negotiating terms, and coordinating global shipments, all while developing growth opportunities. This role combines account management with hands-on logistics in an international context.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop customer relationships across UK and international markets
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery agreements
  • Coordinate export shipments and resolve international logistics challenges
  • Prepare and oversee export documentation and invoice processing
  • Collaborate with production, technical and operational teams
  • Produce monthly sales reports and annual budgets
  • Manage one direct report in the sales office
  • Support and develop relationships with agents and distributors
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue across existing accounts
  • Travel internationally to visit customers, agents and distributors

Key requirements

  • Experience in export sales, export account management or international customer management
  • Knowledge of export procedures and international logistics
  • Experience producing export documentation and shipping paperwork
  • Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer-facing experience
  • Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities
  • Full UK driving licence
