A growing and ambitious accountancy and advisory firm in Central London is looking to appoint an experienced Business Services Manager. The firm works with a varied client base and is known for providing high-quality, commercially focused advice.

Your new role
You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of statutory accounts, tax compliance and wider business advisory work. Alongside managing client relationships, you will lead and develop a team, allocating work effectively and providing regular coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients
- Reviewing statutory accounts and other financial reports
- Overseeing client deadlines, workflow and resource allocation
- Managing WIP, budgets and billing across your portfolio
- Attending client meetings to present results, KPIs and commercial advice
- Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to additional services
- Supporting, coaching and developing junior members of the team
- Contributing to departmental improvements and wider firm initiatives
The position combines technical oversight, team leadership, client management and commercial responsibility.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least two years’ experience operating at Manager level within the business services or accounts division of an accountancy firm. It would be advantageous to also have:
- Strong experience managing a portfolio of clients
- The ability to review statutory accounts and compliance work
- Previous responsibility for WIP, billing and workflow management
- Confident client-facing and relationship-building skills
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities
- A proactive, personable and collaborative approach
