Your new role as a Junior Contracts Assistant involves working closely with Contracts Managers to support the day-to-day coordination and delivery of engineering projects. This position is ideal for someone with an engineering background who wants to gain hands-on experience in project management within a busy and technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Work in line with established ISO Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety procedures.
- Assist in managing multiple M&E projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services.
- Prepare CAD drawings as required to support project delivery.
- Attend site progress meetings alongside Contracts Managers.
- Lead smaller projects and liaise effectively with internal project teams.
- Compile, review, and update Operation & Maintenance manuals.
- Report regularly on project progress, financial performance, risks, and timelines.
- Provide day-to-day support to site engineers.
- Ensure all on-site activities comply with current Health & Safety regulations.
- A formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Previous experience within a Mechanical & Electrical construction-related environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 33 days annual leave, plus an additional day for every 5 years' continuous service.
