Job Purpose

Lead the development of new business systems and review business processes. Maximise the use of key databases and advise business users on database implications of projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Project Scope : Work with business owners to define project scope and produce project initiation documents.
  • Business Requirements : Identify and document business needs, translating them into IT change requests and projects.
  • Impact Assessment : Ensure changes consider existing systems, future developments, and other projects.
  • Stakeholder Relationships : Develop and maintain effective relationships with business process owners and stakeholders.
  • Project Management : Lead design solutions, gather requirements, identify problems, and develop solutions. Manage project deliverables, resources, and timelines.
  • Implementation Support : Provide user support during go-live and conduct post-project reviews.
  • Risk and Performance Management : Identify, measure, and manage project risks and performance.
  • Resource Management : Secure and manage resources, including people, budget, and IT.
  • Procurement : Manage IT software/supplier procurement processes.
  • Change Management : Lead and coordinate the IT Change Management process.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications : Prince 2 project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management : Proven experience in leading IT projects and change management.
  • People Management : Experience in managing performance and coaching others.
  • Communication : Excellent skills in listening, negotiating, and interpreting.
