We are currently seeking an experienced CPE Technical Investigation Engineer to join a specialist In-Life Support Team responsible for supporting and investigating issues across customer broadband and CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technical engineer with strong networking expertise and a passion for troubleshooting complex customer-facing broadband and device issues. You will play a key role in identifying root causes, driving resolutions, and improving the performance and reliability of broadband devices deployed across a large customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues affecting CPE products and broadband services.
- Perform detailed technical analysis and root cause investigations.
- Support broadband devices deployed within customer environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, development, and support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Manage defects, incidents, and investigations using Jira.
- Work closely with development teams through GitHub to review findings and support fixes.
- Document investigation outcomes and provide technical recommendations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
- Experience working with broadband technologies and services.
- Proven experience supporting and diagnosing issues across CPE devices.
- Understanding of embedded network devices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Jira for defect and issue management.
- Experience working with GitHub.
- Ability to investigate complex technical problems and drive resolution.
Desirable Experience
- 4-5 years' experience in a technical investigation, support, or engineering role.
- Knowledge of a broad range of CPE products and technologies.
- Experience working within telecommunications, broadband, or ISP environments.
Working Pattern
- Hybrid working model.
- 3 days onsite in Ipswich (Tuesday to Thursday).
- Monday to Friday.
- 9:00am to 5:00pm.
