ContractType: Full-time, Permanent About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and collaborative design team working across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical design delivery from concept through to completion, contributing to high-quality, sustainable, and technically robust building solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and specification of electrical building services systems including lighting, power, fire alarms, data, and security systemsManage projects through RIBA Stages 1β6, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standardsCoordinate with internal disciplines (mechanical, architectural, structural) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, consultants)Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians within the teamAttend client meetings, design reviews, and site inspections as requiredContribute to fee proposals, resource planning, and project programmingEnsure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standardSupport the development of sustainable and low-carbon design strategies Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)Chartered or working toward CEng status with a relevant institution (e.g., IET, CIBSE)Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical building services designStrong knowledge of UK building regulations, BS standards, and design codesProficient in designing software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, and Dialux/ReluxExperience working on education, healthcare, residential, or public sector projects is advantageous.
