About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Investment Associate to undertake market and financial research and report on prospective investment opportunities. The successful candidate will identify and analyze both the value drivers and risks of investment opportunities. You will participate in business development and portfolio management activities by providing the necessary data for our decision-making process. This position has scope to progress into an Investment Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Research companies, their financial state, underlying sectors of operation, and related market trends.
  • Create financial models and reports that convey complex information succinctly and accurately.
  • Make recommendations based on research and an understanding of political and economic events.
  • Analyze company financial statements and information (e.g., investor presentations, annual reports, etc.).
  • Process and interpret complicated business and financial information.
  • Write market and financial research summaries.
  • Identify value drivers and potential business improvements.
  • Identify business risks and potential mitigations.
  • Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
  • Review previous investment decisions and the rationale behind them.
  • Liaise with investment managers and network with brokers and potential co-investors.
