Looking for experienced Investment Analyst to undertake market and financial research and reports on prospective investment opportunities. Ideal candidate has experience identifying and analysing both the value drivers and risk of investment opportunities.
Your new company
Join an established single-family office, which has a long-standing portfolio of real estate assets, venture capital and private equity investments. They are also looking to expand their footprint into mining, energy, infrastructure and technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- To research companies, their financial state, their underlying sectors of operation and related market trends.
- Create financial models and reports that convey complex information succinctly and accurately.
- Make recommendations based on research and an understanding of political and economic events.
- Analyse company financial statements and information (e.g. investor presentations, annual reports, etc.).
- Process and interpret complicated business and financial information.
- Write market and financial research summaries.
- Identify value drivers and potential business improvements.
- Identify business risks and potential mitigation.
- Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
- Looking back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision.
- Liaise with investment managers and network with brokers and potential co-investors.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years Investment Analyst experience
- Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics.
- Excellent investment analysis software user.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- The ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
