Your new company: You will be joining an established organisation based in Inverness which covers 2500 housing stock over a wide geographical area. They are looking to add a qualified joiner to their maintenance team to assist with their reactive and void housing repairs across the region.

  • Dealing with reactive repairs in occupied housing, engaging with customers and members of the public
  • Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades or renovations in void housing
  • Repairing internal fixtures and fittings, hanging doors, skirting replacements & external property repairs (fencing/gate replacement)
  • Driving the company vehicle safely, keeping the vehicle clean & tidy

What you'll need to succeed: You will need to be a time served/SVQ Level 3 qualified joiner with a recognised apprenticeship, ideally with experience working in a similar environment. Due to the mobile nature of the role, you will need a valid UK Driving Licence with minimal points and endorsements to be considered. A CSCS card is not required, but it would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return: The right candidate will be offered an initial 6-month contract with a works' vehicle provided which can be taken home. Hays will pay you PAYE weekly with the option for accrued annual leave, and you will receive regular updates from your Hays consultant.
